Hey gang! I wanted to let all know that I just finished with Karen McNew on a follow-up story which is supposed to air tonight at 6. I must say I am feeling a bit queasy about the whole thing. I am probably not the best guy to be in front of the camera. I hope I have done right by the team and the people of Haiti and our new friends. I made Karen promise to keep the focus in the proper place. I guess we will find out this evening. Please forgive me if I really botched it bigtime.
Hope to see as many of you as can make it this Sunday at Corned Beef around 3PM. First round is on me.
And now for a maudlin moment: I cannot tell you all how humbled I am to be associated with you, and also how proud I am of the effort we put forth as a team. I feel strongly connected to you all and hope the group will remain tight. As I have said before and know others feel the same, I feel like we got way more than we gave on this adventure, but I am also certain you all gave your ALL to the people of Haiti and that is something to be very proud of. I am looking forward to seeing our Haitian friends again soon – I’m hoping you might want to join me when the time comes.
